Giulio Ricciarelli is a German writer, producer, director and actor born in Milan, Italy.

After graduating from Otto-Falckenberg-Schule in 1988, Giulio Ricciarelli worked as a theater actor at different renowned institutions such as Theater Basel, Stuttgarter Staatstheater, Schauspiel Bonn and Bayerisches Staatsschauspiel. Since 1995 he acted in different TV series such as Im Visier der Zielfahnder, Tatort and SOKO and in TV movies such as Mein Mann, ein Mörder.

In 2000 he and Sabine Lamby founded the naked eye filmproduction, which produces documentaries and short films as well as national and international feature films. In 2004 he made his directorial debut with the successful short film Vincent. With Love It Like It Is, he realized a short film that he directed and wrote himself. His latest project, the feature film drama Labyrinth of Lies, caused an international buzz.

Giulio Ricciarelli, his wife Lisa Martinek and their two children live in Berlin and Munich.
